Who sees what? Roles and visibility

What owners, managers and employees can do in Hyre, who can see your conversations, and how sharing works.

Written by Robin Alcedo Overbosch

In Hyre you only see your own conversations by default. What else you can do depends on your role.

Your own conversations

  • Meetings, phone calls, recordings, memos, email and LinkedIn messages are yours. Colleagues don't see them, not even your manager, unless your organization set it up differently.

  • Contacts and candidates are shared within your organization. If you and a colleague both email the same person, that's one contact. The conversations themselves stay with whoever had them.

  • Your AI assistant sees through Hyre exactly what you see.

Sharing a conversation

  • With a colleague: share a meeting, call, recording or memo from Conversations. Your colleague gets an email with the title, date and a link, without content. Sharing stops straight away when you revoke it.

  • With someone outside Hyre: create a public link. It shows the recording, transcript and summary, but no participants or contact details. The link expires after 7, 30 or 90 days, or never. The default is 30 days.

The whole team's conversations

Want owners and managers to be able to read their team's conversations, for example for coaching or handovers? We switch that on for your organization at an owner's request. Send us a message through Helpdesk.

Besides these three roles there is the Admin role. It can do the same as an owner and is mostly used by the Hyre team.

Teams give no extra rights. They only decide which colleagues a manager sees. Nobody can change their own role.

Someone leaving

An owner or admin can deactivate a colleague under Settings › Organization Members. That person can no longer sign in, the connection with their AI assistant stops, their campaigns stop and their mailbox, LinkedIn and WhatsApp are disconnected. Their conversations are not erased.

Hyre staff

A small number of Hyre staff can look into your account for support. Every time, we record who, when and why.
