Subscription and billing

Your trial, subscription, seats, payment method and invoices, and what happens when the trial ends.

Written by Robin Alcedo Overbosch

Your subscription, payment method and invoices are under Settings › Billing. This article explains how it works, from trial to cancelling. Questions about your plan or an invoice? Ask through the Helpdesk.

Before you start

  • Only an Owner can start, change or cancel the subscription. A Manager can view it. An Employee does not see this tab.

  • Does your organisation pay by invoice under your contract? Then you do not see Billing and there is nothing to do.

Your trial

  • Your trial lasts 14 days and starts when you finish onboarding.

  • Above your name at the bottom left of Hyre you see how many days are left.

  • If the trial ends without a subscription or payment method, access is paused. An owner then sees Choose your plan and picks a subscription. Colleagues see Access paused until the subscription runs.

Start a subscription

  1. As owner, go to Settings › Billing and click Upgrade plan (or pick a plan on the Choose your plan screen).

  2. Choose the term: monthly, quarterly or yearly. A longer term costs less.

  3. Click Get started and pay by card or iDEAL.

  4. You see Payment successful. You now have full access.

What do you see under Billing?

  • Your current plan and Billing cycle (month, quarter or year).

  • Active seats: the number of members in your organisation.

  • Next billing date: when the next payment is due.

  • Your Payment method.

  • Manage billing: opens the billing portal, where you change your card and download your invoices.

Seats: how are colleagues counted?

  • You pay per member of your organisation. Every colleague has their own account and is one seat.

  • Someone you invite counts once they are a member.

  • A removed member drops off from the next invoice. A deactivated member still counts. See Deactivate or remove a colleague.

Cancelling

Under Settings › Billing, click Manage billing and cancel in the billing portal. You keep access until the end of the current period.

Good to know

  • Payment failed? Access for your organisation is paused until the payment goes through. Update your card through Manage billing.

  • Your AI assistant (such as Claude) and your LinkedIn subscription are paid separately, directly to those providers.

  • Need different details on an invoice (address, VAT number, reference)? Change them in the billing portal, or ask through the Helpdesk.

  • Prices and terms are in your contract or quote. Questions? Send us a message through Helpdesk.
