Set up your profile, theme and AI assistant

Change your name and discipline, pick a light or dark theme, and choose whether Claude opens in the app or your browser.

Under Settings › Profile you check your details and choose which AI assistant Hyre works with. That choice decides what happens when you click an agent or action.

Before you start

  • Your own account with your AI assistant. We recommend Claude.

Step by step

  1. Click your name at the bottom left › Settings › Profile.

  2. Check your Name. Hyre uses it throughout the app.

  3. Choose your Recruiting discipline: Recruiter 180, Recruiter 360 or Sales. This describes your work and does not change your permissions. Click Save changes.

  4. Your Email and Organization are shown for reference. In the wrong organisation, or want to sign in with a different email address (for example after a new company domain)? Contact us through Helpdesk. We change it for you.

  5. Under Appearance, pick your theme: Light, Dark or System (follows your computer).

  6. Under Ask AI client, pick your assistant: Claude (Recommended), ChatGPT or Copilot. If a card says Your team uses this, you follow your organisation's choice.

  7. If you pick Claude, you see Always open claude.ai:

    • Off (default): Hyre opens the Claude app on your computer when it is installed, otherwise claude.ai. The first time, your browser asks "Open Claude?".

    • On: Hyre always opens claude.ai in your browser.

  8. Click Save.

Good to know

  • What does the Ask AI client do? When you click an agent, an action on a conversation or Ask AI in Hyre, Hyre opens this assistant with a ready-made prompt.

  • App or browser? Working on several laptops, or getting an extra tab you do not want? Try the other setting. It is a matter of preference.

  • Copilot asks for the URL of your Copilot agent. Your admin gives you that.

  • Cannot pick your own assistant? Your organisation has locked the choice under Settings › Organization. You then follow the team's choice automatically.

  • Back to your team's choice? Click Reset to organization default and Save.

  • Your signature is set under Settings › Signatures. See Set up your email signature.

  • After choosing, you still connect your assistant to Hyre. See Connect Hyre to Claude.
