Connect Hyre to Claude once. Hyre then works in Claude on the web, in the desktop app and on your phone.

You have your own Claude account, at least Pro. See <a href="https://help.hyre.io/en/articles/17835300">What is MCP, and why Claude?</a>

You are signed in to Hyre in the same browser you use Claude in. Otherwise signing in during the connection fails.

Does your company use Claude Team or Enterprise? Then the Owner of your Claude organization first adds Hyre once, and you only click Connect. See <a href="https://help.hyre.io/en/articles/17835301">Add Hyre to Claude Team or Enterprise</a>.

You don't need a client ID or secret. Claude registers itself with Hyre.

In Hyre, go to Settings › MCP. You see the MCP server URL: <code>https://mcp.hyre.io/mcp</code>.

Fastest way: click Add to Claude. Claude opens the Add custom connector window, already filled in with the name Hyre and the URL. Go to step 5.

Or by hand: copy the URL with Copy. In Claude, go to Customize › Connectors, click + and choose Add custom connector.

Enter Hyre AI as the name and paste the URL. Leave Advanced settings empty.

Sign in to Hyre the way you always do. You see a page asking whether Claude may access your Hyre data. Click Allow.

Switch Hyre on in your chat: in a chat, open + › Connectors and switch on Hyre.

Test it. In a new chat, ask: "Who am I on Hyre?" Claude names you, your organization and what is connected. Then try for example "look up Jane Smith in my ATS".

8. Test it. In a new chat, ask: "Who am I on Hyre?" Claude names you, your organization and what is connected. Then try for example "look up Jane Smith in my ATS".

You can always find the connection in Claude under Customize › Connectors.

By default Claude asks for permission before it uses a Hyre tool. Set the tools that only read to Always allow and leave the tools that change things on Needs approval for now. How that works is in <a href="https://help.hyre.io/en/articles/17835302">Why does Claude keep asking for permission?</a>

Connecting once is enough. The connection runs through Anthropic's servers, so it works on claude.ai, in the desktop app and in the mobile app.

Claude doesn't see the Hyre tools? Open a new chat. Tools load per chat. Also check that Hyre is on under + › Connectors.

Using a different Hyre account? Disconnect Hyre in Claude (Customize › Connectors › Hyre › Disconnect) and connect again while signed in to Hyre with the other account.

Other ATS connections in Claude? Switch them off, or Claude won't know which one to use.

Claude changes its menus regularly. If the names don't match exactly, check Anthropic's page linked under the steps in Settings › MCP.
