With LinkedIn connected you see your LinkedIn messages in the Inbox, the AI drafts replies in your style and you can run campaigns. You connect through the Chrome extension Hyre AI Connector. No password or verification code needed.
Before you start
Google Chrome or the latest Microsoft Edge.
You are signed in to LinkedIn and to Hyre in the same browser.
Have Recruiter or Sales Navigator? Open it in a tab first, so Hyre picks up your seat straight away.
Step by step
Go to Settings › Channels and on the LinkedIn card, click Connect LinkedIn.
Don't have the extension yet? Click Install extension. The Chrome Web Store opens. Click Add to Chrome and confirm.
Pin the extension: click the puzzle piece at the top right of Chrome and click the pin next to Hyre AI Connector.
Refresh the Hyre page. A new extension only works on pages loaded after it was installed.
Click Connect LinkedIn again and then Open extension, or click the Hyre icon in your toolbar.
In the extension, click Connect LinkedIn (or Connect Premium LinkedIn if you have a paid account).
Done. The LinkedIn card now shows your name and account type. Your messages are being imported.
Adding Recruiter or Sales Navigator
Open LinkedIn Recruiter or Sales Navigator in a tab in the same browser.
In Settings › Channels, on the Sales Navigator / Recruiter card, click Connect Sales Navigator / Recruiter.
Click Open extension and confirm in the extension.
The card now shows Sales Navigator or Recruiter. For Recruiter Lite it adds Lite.
What does the status on the card mean?
Status | Meaning |
Syncing conversations | Hyre is importing your conversations right now. |
Still syncing in the background | The first import takes longer. It keeps running and your conversations appear when it finishes. |
Synced | The last sync finished. |
Sync failed | The last sync did not finish. Click Sync Messages to try again. |
After connecting, conversations from the last 30 days arrive within minutes. Older conversations follow over the next days.
Good to know
Do not sign out of LinkedIn in the browser you connected with. Signing out breaks the connection with Hyre.
No Recruiter or Sales Navigator seat found? Open Recruiter or Sales Navigator in a tab, refresh the Hyre page and try again.
An error message right after connecting can be closed if the card shows your name afterwards.

Do not use a second LinkedIn automation tool next to Hyre. See Outreach explained.
Recruiter Lite is enough to run campaigns. With a full Recruiter or Sales Navigator seat you can also import lists from those searches.
