A campaign sends the people in your list a connection request and then a sequence of messages. With the Campaign Agent you build it in 10 to 15 minutes with personal AI-written texts. Prefer to set everything yourself? Use Create manually.
Before you start
You have a list. See Build a list.
For the Campaign Agent: your AI assistant (Claude) is connected to Hyre. See Connect Hyre to Claude .
Your tone of voice is right under Settings › Tone of voice. The agent writes in your style.
With the Campaign Agent (recommended)
Open Outreach › Campaigns and click Campaign Agent. It is also on the Agents page. Your AI assistant opens with the agent. Just came from the Sourcing Agent? Ask in the same chat to start the Campaign Agent; it already knows the list and the vacancy.
Answer the questions. The agent asks, among other things:
a new campaign, your own network or an existing campaign;
AI prompts or fixed texts. With AI prompts Hyre writes a unique message per person based on their profile. Fixed texts are sent word for word, with only fields such as
{{firstname}}filled in;candidates or sales, and which vacancy or vacancies it is for;
the duration: short (about a month) or the whole year;
whether to use intake conversations with the client;
what may and may not go in the text, such as salary or conditions;
whether the connection request gets a note;
who to skip (existing connections, people in other campaigns, people you already talked to, people on another pipeline). Take your time. Little input gives flat messages.
Read the sample messages critically. The agent takes a sample lead and writes the texts out. Not right? Say so in the chat, for example "don't start with 'hoi', start with 'hai', in every message".
Let it build the campaign. Say you're happy; the agent puts the campaign in Hyre as a Draft. It launches nothing.
Open the campaign in Hyre and check Targeting. Pick the list here if it isn't picked yet. Without a list you can't launch.
Check a few leads with Preview for a sample lead and click Launch campaign.
By hand with Create manually
Click Create manually. The wizard has four parts. There is no autosave: click Save. If you leave with unsaved changes, Hyre asks first.
Campaign name. Name the campaign. Auto-finish marks the campaign finished once everyone has gone through all steps. For sources that keep bringing in new people (connections, profile visitors) it is always off.
Targeting. Choose the Recipient source: a list, Start empty or No recipients. Here you also set:
Delay before the campaign starts: none, 3, 6 or 12 months, counted from the last LinkedIn message with that person. Useful for reactivation.
a filter on, for example, job title, company, location or language;
the Exclude switches: Existing connections, People already in a campaign, People I've talked to and People already on another pipeline. They are off by default;
Only people with no message since: skip people you exchanged LinkedIn messages with since a given date. You can't change Targeting after launch.
Warmup. Optional: Visit profile (with Refresh on visit, so the message uses the current job title), Follow and Like latest post. Warming up raises acceptance, but also uses daily actions.
Outreach sequence. The connection request (with or without a note) and up to 7 messages. For each step choose Write it myself or Let AI write it, or a template marked Outreach. Every delay counts from the step before: the first message after the accepted request, each next message after the previous one. Extra options:
Withdraw the invite if ignored: withdraw the request when it isn't accepted after 5 to 90 days;
Send an InMail if ignored (with Sales Navigator or Recruiter);
Skip connection requests for Open Profiles.
Check and launch. Use Preview for a sample lead and click Launch campaign.
Good to know
A campaign can only go live with a name, at least one step and an audience.
The connection request note can be at most 300 characters, counted after the fields are filled in. A name or company can make the text longer. Hyre checks this on 25 people from your list and blocks the launch when anyone goes over. If it still goes wrong, LinkedIn sends no request to that person. Keep AI notes around 250 characters.
A note needs a paid LinkedIn plan. On a free account the note is dropped.
Write fields with double braces, such as
{{firstname}}. Hyre converts other spellings automatically.Hyre can't see InMail replies. They land in your Sales Navigator or Recruiter inbox. The person stays in the sequence until you take them out.
Changing a campaign that is running? Pause it first. Or give feedback with the Feedback button, see Give feedback on your campaign.
Create a copy in the
⋯menu copies a campaign's settings, without the counters. Handy as a template or for an A/B test.
