Every recorded conversation has three tabs: a summary, the recording and the full transcript. Check the transcript before you log the conversation to your ATS, and the rest will be right too.
Before you start
The conversation has finished processing. If it still says Transcript is being processed, wait a moment. The page refreshes by itself.
Step by step
Open Conversations and click a conversation.
At the top you see the participant's name, the date and duration, and the Call, Agents and ⋯ buttons.
Summary: a summary of the conversation, made from the transcript, in the language of the conversation. Copy summary copies it.
Recording: listen to or watch the conversation again.
Transcript: everything that was said, per speaker. Search for a word with the search box.
Fixing names and words with Find & Replace
The transcript is phonetic: names and company names are sometimes misspelled. Fix them before you log the conversation. 1. Open the Transcript tab and click Find & Replace.
2. In Find..., type the wrong word, for example the misspelled surname. You see how often it occurs. 3. In Replace with..., type the correct spelling. 4. If it is a speaker's name, choose whether to replace only the speaker label or every occurrence. 5. Click Replace All.
Hyre replaces the word in the transcript and in this conversation's summary. You see the count per place.
Downloading the transcript
Open the Transcript tab.
Click Download Transcript at the bottom.
Choose Plain text (.txt) or Word document (.docx).
Open Full Transcript shows the transcript full screen.
Only the transcript can be downloaded. You can play back the recording itself (audio or video) in Hyre, but not download it.
Good to know
Replace All cannot be undone. Check what you type.
The summary is not regenerated after Find & Replace: only the word is swapped. If the summary uses another form of the name, Hyre counts 0 there. The summary email that already went out keeps the old text.
Recurring names (your company, clients, industry terms) can be entered up front under Settings › Notetaker, at the bottom with the names the notetaker must spell right.
Online meeting video is kept for 30 days. After that, Recording says the recording is no longer available. Audio of phone and in-person conversations stays.
If Hyre is unsure about the quality of an in-person recording, you see a warning above the summary and transcript with the language and a percentage. Listen back to check.
On the right is Profile with the person you spoke to, and above it Open tasks with that person's open tasks. See Who was this? Linking a contact to a conversation.
You can also fetch the transcript through your AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot) when Hyre is connected to it.
