Sharing a conversation with colleagues or by public link

Let a colleague read a conversation, or create a link that shows someone outside Hyre the summary, recording and transcript.

Written by Robin Alcedo Overbosch

Your conversations are private: colleagues do not see them. If a colleague needs to take over a candidate or review an intake, share the conversation. For someone outside Hyre, create a public link.

Before you start

  • You own the conversation. A conversation shared with you cannot be shared further.

  • You can share meetings, calls, in-person conversations and memos. Inbox messages are not shared this way.

Sharing with a colleague

  1. Open the conversation in Conversations.

  2. Click ⋯ at the top right and choose Share with colleagues.

The menu with Share with colleagues and Share a public link
  3. Pick one or more colleagues from your organisation and confirm.

  4. Your colleague gets an email with the title, date, length and a link. The conversation then shows in their own Conversations, with a label naming you.

Your colleague sees the same summary, recording and transcript. Tasks stay personal: your colleague does not see your tasks. Only you can delete the conversation.

Stop sharing: open Share with colleagues again. Colleagues with access are listed under Has access; click Remove. Access stops at once.

Creating a public link

  1. Open the conversation and click ⋯ › Share a public link.

  2. Switch on Public link.

  3. Choose how long the link works: 7, 30 or 90 days, or Never. The default is 30 days, because online meeting video is kept for 30 days.

  4. Copy the link and send it.

Turning the link off: switch Public link off again. The link stops working at once.

Whoever opens the link sees the title, date, length, the recording, the summary and the transcript. No participants, no contact details and no phone numbers.

Good to know

  • The link always includes the transcript and the summary. You cannot share the summary only. Only share conversations you are comfortable sharing in full.

  • One link per conversation. Creating a new link stops the old one.

  • Off is off. If you turn the link off and on again, you get a new link. The old one stays dead.

  • Deleting the conversation also stops the link.

  • Colleagues must be in the same organisation in Hyre.

  • A Not admitted meeting has nothing to share.
