The Agents page is where you put AI to work, from starting your day to building a CV. This article explains the kinds of agents and how they run.
How an agent runs
An agent in Hyre is a fixed way of working (a procedure) plus access to your data: your ATS or CRM, email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, conversations, calendar and tasks. The thinking happens in your own AI assistant. It works like this:
You click an agent in Hyre, for example Run routine or an agent button on a job.
Hyre opens your AI assistant (we recommend Claude) with a ready-made prompt. You don't need to read or change it.
You send the prompt. Your assistant loads the agent's current procedure through the Hyre connection (MCP) and gets to work.
Before anything is sent, created or written, the agent asks for your approval. AI suggests, you decide.
That is why your AI assistant has to be connected to Hyre first. See What is MCP and why Claude? and Connect Hyre to Claude.
Three kinds of agents
Kind | What it does | Where you start it |
Routine agents | Fixed work at a fixed time, no input needed: start your day, close your day, update your ATS, prepare drafts. | Card on the Agents page (Run routine), or automatically through routines in Claude. |
Power agents | A bigger job on one candidate, job or meeting: matching, sourcing, writing a job ad or CV. | Card under Power agents, or the agent button on the page it is about (job, candidate, calendar, Outreach). |
Actions | One clear task on a conversation: update the candidate in your ATS, log the summary, recap email, follow-up task. | The Agents menu on a conversation in Conversations or the Inbox. |
Which agents are there?
Routines - Start je dag (recommended 08:30) - Sluit je dag (recommended 17:30) - ATS & CRM sync (recommended 17:00) - Draft Agent (recommended 08:00, or every hour)
Power agents - Matching Agent: candidates from your ATS for a job - Job Finder Agent: jobs from your ATS for a candidate - Vacancy Generator Agent: from intake meeting to job ad - CV Generator Agent: a CV in your own Word template - Meeting Prep Agent: prepare your meeting - Task Agent: work through your open tasks - Campaign Agent: build a LinkedIn campaign - Sourcing Agent (Beta): find candidates on LinkedIn
Depending on your organization you may see more, for example agents your team built.
The order in your process
Intake with the client > Vacancy Generator writes the job > Matching Agent searches your ATS > not enough? Sourcing Agent searches LinkedIn > Campaign Agent reaches out to the list > Meeting Prep Agent prepares your conversation > you have the conversation > actions and ATS & CRM sync put everything in your ATS > CV Generator builds the CV for your client.
Good to know
Buttons at the top of the page: Create Agent (build an agent with your assistant), Create manually (the form), Set up routines (schedule routines in Claude) and Feedback (adjust an agent).
The
⋯menu on a card: Edit, Duplicate, Delete, Hide for me, Custom rules and, for managers, Hide for the organisation. Drag cards to reorder them.Badges: Platform-wide (from Hyre), your organization, or Personal (only you). Beta means the agent is still being developed.
You run a routine once a day. After a run the card shows Available tomorrow until midnight.
Model in Claude: Sonnet is fast and fine for most agents. Pick Opus for big multi-step jobs such as sourcing or a campaign. Light models (such as Haiku) give weaker results.
Agent missing? An agent that needs an ATS or CRM only appears once one is connected. Hyre switches the Sourcing Agent on per organization.
Claude keeps asking for permission? Set Hyre's read tools to Always allow in Claude. See Connect Hyre to Claude.
