What you see
Claude says it has no access to Hyre, or that the tools aren't available.
An agent or routine doesn't start, or stops with an error.
Claude shows Connected on the Hyre connector, or only a Disconnect button, but it doesn't work.
It worked yesterday, and nobody changed anything.
Why this happens
Claude talks to Hyre through a connector with its own sign-in. That sign-in can become invalid, for example after an outage or maintenance on our side, or after you signed out of Hyre. Claude doesn't always notice and keeps showing Connected. Reconnecting creates a new, valid sign-in. This is the question our support gets most often, and Reconnect almost always solves it.
How to fix it
Sign in to Hyre at app.hyre.io, in the same browser you use Claude in (or that Claude opens when you sign in).
In Claude, open Settings › Connectors (sometimes under Customize › Connectors) and click Hyre.
Click Reconnect. Only see Disconnect? Click Disconnect and then Connect.
Click Allow on the Hyre screen. Only then does Claude get access.
Open a new chat. Tools load per chat; an old chat doesn't know the new connection.
Test with the question: "Who am I on Hyre?". Claude should name you and your organization.
This takes less than a minute.
Still not working after that?
You don't see the Hyre connector at all, or only "Browse connectors": on a Claude Team or Enterprise account, the Owner of your Claude organization must add Hyre first. Send them the Send this guide to your Claude Owner link under Settings › MCP in Hyre.
Connect or Allow fails: check that you're signed in to Hyre in the same browser, with the right account. Working from a terminal or code editor and getting a white page or an error? Connect through the Claude app or claude.ai instead.
You switched Hyre accounts, or you're working in a colleague's account for a while: Disconnect and Connect again, so Claude uses the right account.
Claude keeps asking for permission: that isn't an error. Open Settings › Connectors › Hyre and set the read tools to Always allow. Only set write tools to Always allow once you trust them.
One tool fails, the rest works, for example search in the Sourcing Agent: that's usually a connection in Hyre, such as your Recruiter seat. Check under Settings › Channels that everything shows Connected.
Is it working again?
In a new chat, Claude answers "Who am I on Hyre?" with your name.
Your agents and routines run again.
Prevent it
Use one Claude account per Hyre user.
After an outage notice from Hyre: click Reconnect, even if it seems to work.
Still not working?
