Choose which calendars you see

Hide a calendar from your view only, or switch it off completely so Hyre stops reading it and the notetaker stays out.

Got several calendars, such as a shared team calendar or a private one? You decide which ones you see and which ones Hyre uses. There are two controls, and they do different things.

Hide a calendar from your view

Use this when you want a calmer view but Hyre should still see everything. 1. Go to Calendar and click Calendars at the top. 2. Turn off the calendars you don't want to see. You can also pick a colour per calendar here.

Switch a calendar off completely

Use this for a calendar Hyre should leave alone, such as a private calendar. 1. Go to Settings › Channels and find Calendar Sync. 2. Click the gear next to the mailbox. The Calendar colors window opens.

3. Turn off the switch for the calendar Hyre should no longer read.

Good to know

  • Switching off applies from now on. Meetings Hyre had already synced stay, so your transcripts and summaries don't disappear. The notetaker also still joins those known meetings. Don't want that? Turn on Don't record for that meeting or cancel it in your calendar.

  • Switching back on repairs itself. Hyre reads the coming year of that calendar again. A meeting that took place entirely while the calendar was off was not recorded.

  • You can't switch off your last enabled calendar.

  • A switched-off calendar can't be picked when you create a new event.

  • Your booking link always checks your primary calendar, even when you hide it. Your calendar provider decides that.

  • Want the notetaker out of one meeting? Use Don't record. For all meetings: turn off Join my meetings automatically under Settings › Notetaker.
