Tasks: list, kanban and snooze

How to work with your task list in Hyre. List or kanban, filter, complete, snooze and jump to the conversation in one click.

Written by Robin Alcedo Overbosch

Tasks is your memory aid: candidates and prospects you still need to call, email or follow up. From every task you jump to the conversation it's about in one click.

Where tasks come from

Tasks only appear when you or your AI assistant create them. Hyre never creates tasks on its own. There are three ways: - by hand, with Create manually or from a conversation (see Create a task) - through an agent you run, for example the "create follow-up tasks" action, Sluit je dag or ATS & CRM sync - by asking your AI assistant: "Add a task to call [name] in three days."

The list

  1. Go to Tasks in the sidebar. You see the List view by default.

The task list with the Status, Title, Type, Contact and Due columns
  2. Each task shows the title, where it came from (for example a meeting), the type, the contact and the due date.

  3. On the right of each row are three buttons: snooze (clock), complete (check) and delete (bin).

  4. Filter with Status or search with Search tasks....

Kanban

  1. Click Kanban at the top.

The kanban view with the To Do, Later and Done columns
  2. You see three columns: To Do (do now), Later (snoozed) and Done (completed).

  3. Drag a card to another column to change its status.

Snooze

Not ready for it yet? Snooze the task. It moves to Later and comes back to To Do on the day you choose. - Click the clock in the row, or drag the card to Later. - Choose Tomorrow, In 3 days, Next week or In 2 weeks.

Open a task

Click a task to open the detail panel. There you can: - change the title, status and due date - reread the conversation the task came from with View conversation - start a conversation right away in the Contact section via Email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp or Call - choose Mark as done or Delete task

Good to know

  • Three types: Follow-up, Call and Reminder.

  • Tasks are personal. Colleagues don't see your tasks and there's no team view.

  • One automatic step: a task linked to an email thread is completed as soon as that thread gets a reply.

  • A task never sends a message itself. It's a reminder. Want your assistant to prepare the work? Use the Task Agent. Following up automatically without you is what a LinkedIn campaign is for.

  • Hyre tasks don't sync with tasks in your ATS, and tasks from an external tool don't come into Hyre. Ideally work from one list.

  • Your open tasks come back in Start je dag and Sluit je dag.
