Answering replies to your campaigns

Where replies to your LinkedIn campaigns land, how to answer them quickly, and how to put "not interested" into a reactivation campaign.

Written by Robin Alcedo Overbosch

Replies to your LinkedIn campaigns land in your Inbox. There you answer them, put interested people in your ATS, and park "not now" in a reactivation campaign.

Before you start

  • You have a running campaign in Outreach.

  • Tip: switch on the Draft Agent so every reply already has a draft waiting.

Finding replies

  1. Open the Inbox and choose the Inbox folder under LinkedIn (or InMail › Inbox for InMail campaigns).

  2. Use the Campaign filter next to the search box to see replies from one campaign only. Choose Not in campaign for everything else.

  3. Hover over a conversation to see which campaign the person is in and their status (Playing, To review, Paused, Removed).

  4. Recently accepted shows who just accepted your connection request.

Responding

Open the conversation and choose what fits: - Interested: send a reply (use the Interested template or the Draft Agent's draft), add your Meeting link, and put the candidate in your ATS via Agents. Create a task with ⋯ › Create Task if needed. - Not interested, but a good profile: thank them with the Not interested template and add them to a reactivation campaign (see below). - Not interested and not relevant: reply briefly and archive.

Adding someone to a (reactivation) campaign

  1. Open the LinkedIn conversation.

  2. Click Campaigns at the top. You see which campaigns the person is in.

  3. Choose your reactivation campaign and add the person.

You create a reactivation campaign with the Campaign Agent, starting after for example 90 or 180 days. The person then rolls into a new sequence by itself, without you following up. People only enter it when you add them from the inbox.

Good to know

  • A person is in one campaign at a time. Add them to a second running campaign and they stop in the first.

  • When someone replies on LinkedIn, the sequence stops for that person and they move to To review in the campaign.

  • Replies to InMails are not seen as replies by the campaign: the person stays in the sequence. Pause them yourself in Outreach if you continue the conversation.

  • The Campaigns button is greyed out when Hyre has no LinkedIn profile or name for the conversation. Hover over it for the reason.

  • Campaign changes can take a few minutes to show in the filter.
