Setting up your email signature

Set a signature per connected mailbox, with an image or as HTML, so it is added automatically to the emails you send from Hyre.

Written by Robin Alcedo Overbosch

Emails you send from Hyre only get your signature once you set it up in Hyre. Hyre does not copy your signature from Gmail or Outlook by itself.

Before you start

  • Your mailbox is connected under Settings › Channels.

  • Already have a signature in Outlook or Gmail? Copy its HTML code, so you don't have to format anything again.

Step by step

  1. Click your photo at the bottom left, choose Settings and then Signatures.

  2. You see a block per connected mailbox. Pick the mailbox.

  3. Create your signature in one of two ways:

    • Visual: type your name, job title and details, and use the buttons for bold, links and lists. Insert image adds a logo or photo.

    • HTML: paste the HTML code of your existing signature.

  4. Check how it looks under Live Preview.

  5. Keep Add email signature by default ticked to add it to every new email and reply from this mailbox.

  6. Click Save Signature.

Good to know

  • One signature per mailbox. With two mailboxes connected, set up two. Hyre uses the signature of the mailbox you send from (the From address).

  • On or off per message: in a new message, use Add signature to add or leave out the signature.

  • Tip for images: add them in Visual, then switch to HTML to fine-tune the size. A table layout survives both views.

  • Hyre always adds exactly one signature, even when you reply in a long thread.

  • Drafts in Gmail or Outlook are saved without the signature. It is added when you send.

  • Font and colour of your mail program are not applied to the text of your mail.
