Your tone of voice decides how every AI message sounds: Draft Agent drafts, campaign messages, recap emails and the AI reply in your inbox. The better it fits, the less you need to rewrite.
Before you start
After onboarding, Hyre already created your tone of voice from your own sent emails, separately for Email and LinkedIn. So you don't start from scratch, but you do need to review it.
Step by step: review in Hyre
Go to Settings › Tone of voice.
Read the Email and LinkedIn fields all the way through. Does it match how you write? Mistakes here come back in every message.
Remove what doesn't belong: private details, parts in the wrong language or sentences that don't fit your work.
Empty or completely off? Click Generate tone of voice to have it created again.
Click Save.
Under Context, check Company (what your company does) and your personal background. Research my company looks up the company text again.
Improve it with Claude
The easiest way to improve your tone of voice is with your AI assistant: 1. Ask Claude: "Show my tone of voice in Hyre and write a made-up LinkedIn message in this style." 2. Say what should change, for example: "I always start with hoi, not hallo. Update my tone of voice." 3. Claude updates it and writes a new example right away. Repeat until it's right. 4. Ask Claude to save the new version in Hyre. It asks for your approval first.
Prefer doing it by hand? Copy the text from Hyre into Claude, let it make changes and paste the new version back. Don't forget Save.
Good to know
Email and LinkedIn are separate. On LinkedIn you usually write shorter and more casually. WhatsApp uses your LinkedIn tone.
Each tone of voice can be up to 5,000 characters.
Brandbook: an owner, admin or manager can upload your organization's brandbook as a PDF under Brandbook (Upload PDF, up to 15 MB, no scans). Hyre turns it into a short writing guide that every AI reply follows, for everyone in your organization.
Only owners, admins and managers change the company text. You change your own tone and background yourself.
Your personal background is written from your connected LinkedIn profile. Not right? Reconnect LinkedIn, or edit the text.
Messages too polished or too AI? Improve your tone of voice first. For a single agent or campaign, use Custom rules.
